Last Man Out - what a great thing that was to hear, the long awaited rescue of the Chilean miners trapped for over 2 month. The vigil is over, now for the family's and friends to make another adjustment of having their loved one back.
There is another rescue that needs to happen. This rescue will be even harder, the people have been trapped much longer than 67 days. This rescue story is calling for the end of the isolated segregation of workers in sheltered workshops. Many have spent 30 or more years in that environment, holding on the dream of something better. Waiting to be rescued!
How much longer will people have to "wait" for their dream of living the life of a typical adult? Lets write the story in Nebraska that starts with the headline Last Person Out. Lets ensure that the basic civil rights of all people in Nebraska are upheld. Lets work together to plan the rescue of all people that are living the isolated segregated work life of shelter work. Imagine the possibilities.
